Embankment slashing such as driveways, walls and hedges

East Coast Slope Mowers and Slashers Pty Ltd, is a family owned business. We have been the primary contractor maintaining roadside embankment vegetation on the Tweed Shire Council and various neighbouring councils since 2009. We are a registered Australian company with highly experienced owner operators.

We have two well maintained machines that will handle just about anything that they can reach.

We offer our services for embankment slashing such as driveways, walls and hedges.

We can also offer broad acre mowing with our combination slasher. Our machines have 6.5 meter and a 7.2-meter reach, the latter with a 2.2-meter front mounted mulcher/slasher. Both machines can mulch almost anything up to 100mm thick.

Steep Driveways

This job is in Banora point South Tweed Heads, and has some of the worst Barnyard Grass we’ve seen. It has absolutely taken over the whole driveway. This is a prime example of what would take a man with a brush hook a week. You just wouldn’t do it by hand!! when it takes us around one and a half hours. Of course, when it’s this thick, it’s better to do the job regularly, as who knows what’s living in it.

Our slope mower is designed to cut through thick grass and branches up to 100mm. It too has a mulcher head so it lays the grass down, just like the front Seppi mulcher. Leaving an even layer of grass with no wind rows.

Hedges

Hedges are our specialty. It doesn’t matter how long, how high or how overgrown your hedge is. As long as we have access to it, we can get it back shape in no time.

Below is a hedge we maintain for Avocado Land Near Murwillumbah. Our expert operators love this sort of work. It lets them show off their skills.

Attractions like Avocado land have lots of hedges, such as this one. Imagine doing this by hand, the man power, time and effort, not to mention the cost, very prohibitive. This one takes around three hours. The results speak for themselves.

Broad Acre Slashing

Along with our rear reach mower, we also offer a 2.2 forward mounted mulcher. This machine will turn that overgrown paddock into a lawn. Because it is a mulcher style it lays the grass down in a neat 2.2m wide sheet of grass. Unlike a conventional slasher that piles up the grass on one side, leaving great untidy windrows that sit for weeks before rotting away, also hiding the grass that was not cut. This grass grows back in a matter of days through the wind rows, so the job looks only half done.
